今までこうだと思いこんでいた簡単な単語に、
意外な意味があるものが多くて驚いた。
例えばmeanは、「意味する」という意味でしかとらえてなかったけれど、
「～するつもりである」という意味があることなんて知らなかった。
be dying to~は「～したくてたまらない」という意味だし、
１つの単語にもいろんな意味があるし、
熟語になると想像できないものになるなあと
びっくりしました。
